Since he blew up his closet in 1987, Andy Mangels has been an active voice in many aspects of the community. He held the title of Mr. Oregon State Leather 2004, is a member of Mama's Family as "Mama's Wonder Man," and hold a lifetime title from the Imperial Sovereign Rose Court. He also runs the Oregon Leather History Project website which includes the Oregon Leather Event Calendar. He has raised over $10,000 for the Leather Archives & Museum, and over $42,000 for Domestic Violence shelters with his Wonder Woman Day event, as well as thousands of dollars for other Oregon charities. In his private life, he is a best-selling author with almost 20 books to his credit, and an award-winning DVD Special Features producer with over 40 DVD sets released.
